Today was another day exploring the Swiss countryside. We caught the train to Lucerne, then after taking some photos on Kapelbrucke, headed back tot he station to go to Engelberg.
From Engelberg, we caught the chairlift up to Mt. Titlis. Not as high as Jungfrau, there was less snow on top. But it was still quite beautiful, and much warmer.
When we had had enough, and the girls had finished their gelato, we had back down to Engelberg and the one hour train trip back to Lucern. It started raining quite heavily, but it was fine by the time we arrived. We then set about exploring Lucern. This is my favourite Swiss city. It is so pretty.
The old town is beautiful, and the Lion monument is just stunning.
We loved Lucern, and wanted to have dinner there. We were lucky to get a table on the river facing the Kapelbrucke, at Mr. Pickwick, an Irish pub. A fabulous day, we eventually headed back to Zurich to start packing for Munich.
