Today we caught the train to Potsdam where the Prussian Kings built their main palaces (there are nine palaces in the area). Not knowing how big this place was, we starting walking.
Over an hour later we can up to Sans Souci palace, the main palace of the Prussian kings. The grounds are spectacular.
Acres and acres of manicured gardens leading up to a fountain, then cascading stairs and vines leading up to the palace itself.
After enjoying the grounds, we headed back to the station to head back to Berlin. We stopped in at the Berlin zoo, the oldest and most visited zoo in Germany.
From there we caught the train to the east side gallery, a remaining section of the Berlin Wall that has been used for graffiti art.
We then headed back to Potsdamer Platz for some shopping at the Mall of Berlin, a huge shopping centre.
